Rank Scores in entrance test like C Mat, K Mat, Mat, Cat etc.

OVERVIEW


SJCIT was established in the year 1986, in Chickballpur, under the flagship of Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust, under the divine leadership of His Holiness Jagadguru Padmabhushan Sri Sri Sri Dr. Balagangadharanatha Mahaswamiji.

Sri Sri Sri Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji is a guiding spirit for the development of Management Education in SJCIT with a vision of imparting value based education system and creating management professionals who can face the business challenges in the global market.

Department of Management Studies was established in the year 2000 offers Two year full time MBA program affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum and approved by AICTE.

The course is carefully designed and updated by the University keeping in mind the changing needs in Industry. MBA Program at SJCIT goes beyond the curriculum and offers a special set of leadership skills that are extremely valuable in the global market and offers a wide spectrum of business knowledge, conceptual and analytical skills and develops the students in to competent and effective Managers.

The campus provides an ideal environment for young minds to explore new ideas, and encourages creativity and independent thinking.

Objective of the program

The objective of the Programme is to empower the students with knowledge, analytical and strategic decision making skills and to deliver the best in the organization. Hence, rather than just delivering lectures, the process of education is highly interactive and provocative to induce active participation of students to liberate their potential. Approaches like case analysis, role-play, simulation exercises, group discussion, presentations etc. are given emphasis, which help students to take a holistic view of a particular managerial problem, reach out to its root-cause and find a solution. It helps students to face challenges and to develop a vision and plans for achieving goals.

Faculty and staff of the College play an active role in the educational process, so that students will imbibe spirit of inquiry, discovery, critical analysis, problem solving and decision making.

Short term Goals

To achieve 75% to 100% admissions for the intake of 60 for the academic year 2017-18 by way of advertisement campaign, personal approaches by way of visiting nearby district wise degree colleges, putting up of banners Etc.,

To achieve 85% to 95% of results for the academic year 2016-17 for both II and IV semester MBA.

To achieve 25% to 50% placements of current year admissions of 40 for prospective students those who are really interested/willing to work in the corporate.

Program Outcome of MBA

To acquire the knowledge, concepts and its application in business environment, problem solving and decision making.

To demonstrate an ability to identify business problems, collect data, analyze the data and convert them into meaningful information to arrive at the directions and suggest solutions to those problems.

To demonstrate ability to understand management in multifunctional areas like Production, Marketing, Finance and HR. Also they will be able to demonstrate ability to understand and derive meaningful inferences about organizational performance.

To provide the knowledge of professional, ethical, legal and organizational responsibilities for managing in business enterprises.

MBA students will show an understanding of impact of business solutions on the society and will be aware of contemporary issues in a domestic and global perspective.

To acquire necessary Managerial skills to pursue successful careers, involve in research and development.

To communicate effectively both in verbal and written form and to write business letters and reports.

To understand the marketing concepts and acquire marketing skills and ability to work on various marketing functions and develop strategic thinking

To acquire the concepts of Human resource management and develop the skills and ability for recruiting, selecting, training and developing the employee.

MBA students will be able to apply accounting & financial concepts in evaluating projects, investments, risks and returns to propose creative solutions to the business organisation.

To facilitate the ability to analyse the financial and operating performance of business organisation, identify, formulate and solve financial problems.

To acquire the knowledge of business and tax policies, working of stock markets, regulations of banking and Insurance for career planning and development.
